Lonesome County, long known as Michigan’s finest bluegrass band and one of the finest anywhere formed in 2002. They have been garnering attention since that inception. From concert halls to many large bluegrass festivals through the U.S. they can be found playing their very distinct style of bluegrass. Here are a few opinions on the matter. “Excellence rarely seen. But with this band that’s where they set the bar.” “Fantastic.” CONCERT REVIEW “There are the Tony Rice’s and other fine guitar players who play well, but then there is Chad Jeremy. I marvel at his musical ability.” — PETE GOBEL .. “Lonesome County proved you don’t have to be from Kentucky to play great Bluegrass” — ENTERTAINMENT DIRECTOR, SILVER DOLLAR CITY, BRANSON MO. .. ” A band capable of that in the pocket groove only found in the top bluegrass bands.” — MIKE WITNER, ALBUM REVIEWER .. ” Fantastic, blew me away, incredible musicianship.” — DAVID TAMULEVICH, THE ROOTS AGENCY .. There are some good songs here such as “Light Blue Gingham Gown,” “West Virginia Coal Mining Man,” and the lovely ballad “Fool’s Conversation.” — BLUEGRASS UNLIMITED .. We’ll likely see and hear more of this Michigan-based band as the 2008 festival season arrives. Great music! They may have to change their name, as “Lonesome County” becomes populated with eager fans. — LARRY ROBINSON, BLUEGRASS NOW
