Q&A

Q: Can I bring my dog?

A: Sorry, no dogs or pets are allowed.

Q:Will there be a special family camping area?

A: As far as family camping goes, there’s a spot on the overflow property about 1500 feet away from the main stage. It should be pretty peaceful back there. Also, you will find that there are several campgrounds within a few miles.

Q: I have already ordered my tickets. When should I expect to get them in the mail?

A: All you need is your paypal confirmation # and your ID when you come to the gate.

Q: How much do tickets cost for kids?

A: In an effort to make Dunegrass more affordable for families, we are offering free admission to ACCOMPANIED minors, 16 years and under.

Q: How much will the camping fee be?

A: Camping will be an additional $25 per car at the gate.

Q: Are there fires allowed on-site?

A: We have one fire pit near the campground for late night acoustic music. There are no open fires permitted besides the designated fire pit.

Q: Is there a deposit for volunteers?

A: Volunteers buy tickets and are refunded after they put their hours in.

Q: How do i sign up to become a volunteer?

A: Contact via volunteer contact form and they will contact you with the information.

Q: When does the event actually start?

A: The gates open Friday at 8 am, music starts around 2pm on Friday and goes through Sunday at midnight.

Q: Will there be shuttles to take us to the beach as before?

A: Yes! We are arranging for shuttles to take people to and from the beach!

Q: Will there be a parking fee?

A: There will be a $10 fee for day passes only.

Q: How can I get a vending booth for the festival?

A: Contact us via the vending contact form and we will send you information.

Please post any additional questions in the comment section below and we will answer them as soon as we can. Thanks.

We were a first time festival goers and really enjoyed ourselves. Excellent place to hold this event. Place was kept clean! Lots of kids, which was cool!
Great family event. Could listen/dance to the music and still carry on a conversation.

A BIG thanks to all the Volunteers and Bands. We have plans to come back again next year.

  2. Timbob says:

Can we pitch two tents per camp site?

  3. Emily says:

can you buy day passes online? Or are those only offered at the door?

  4. Meg says:

I was wondering if we will be able to come and go? I have weekend passes, but have a wedding to attend on Saturday. Thank you

  5. Brian Jones says:

Will there be a charging station for cell phones, etc…?

    Thanks…

  6. Brian Jones says:

Haven’t been to the festival since 2008… I remember that you would park and then carry your camping gear to the camping area. Is this the same at the new site? or can you set up camp next to your car?

    Thanks!

  7. Brotherbryan says:

Is there an address I can put into my GPS to get there? Or is it simple to find?

  8. Cindy D says:

If we are coming Friday morning and planning on getting a one day pass, can we stay overnight with that and leave in the morning by 9am? If we do this, do we have to pay the $10 parking fee plus the $25 camping fee plus the $40 day pass?
Thanks, looking so forward to this.

    • RyanLake says:

You would just pay for camping…you could sleep in your car for $10 and park in day parking or just get a camping spot.

  9. Erik Brown says:

The ticket price says it includes “food and beverage.” What kind of and how much “food and beverage” is this? If I bought a ticket, would I not have to worry about purchasing additional “food and beverage” while I’m there?

    • RyanLake says:

There is no food included in the price of the ticket. We have a wonderful menu to choose from at reasonable prices.

  10. Carrie says:

    Hi.
Is the $25 camping fee for the whole weekend or per night? Or is camping included in the weekend pass price? Thanks!

  11. Lorna says:

If we buy Saturday-only camping tickets can we still pay to camp Friday and Saturday nights?

    • RyanLake says:

      Hi Lorna,
We don’t have day camping passes, the price is $25 per car for the weekend. If you want to stay for the weekend, you will need a weekend pass and camping. If you only buy a day pass, you can stay the night but have to be gone by the following morning at 9am.
      Many Thanks!

      • Emily says:

So if we want a day pass for Saturday we would be able to camp Saturday night? If so, what is the price for that and when could we set up camp on Saturday morning? (Also, would this be in the same area as other campers?)

        • RyanLake says:

You could get a camping spot for $25 for the night and leave by 9am. Set up anytime on Saturday :)

  12. Rebecca B says:

This is my first time going to the festival. Will there be food for purchase, if so, what kind? (fried things and ice cream vs real meals?)

    • RyanLake says:

      Hi!

We have a BBQ pit, veggie wraps, salads, genuine Thai food, Gyro booth, cajun food, ice cream, kettle corn and more…free water on site :)

  13. corie says:

    Hi,
We’re first time Dunegrass goers. I wondered if we are going to the family camp area, if we can drive directly to the spot, or do we park in the parking area, and have to carry it all in?
    Thanks!
    -corie

    • RyanLake says:

      Hi Corie!
You can drive right in to family camp and set up next to your car. It’s in a great spot tucked away so you can get some sleep :)

  14. Tina T says:

Hi, Ryan. We’ve gotten alot of info by reading the posts & your replies. Here’s a question we have…Are bicycles allowed on festival site? We’ve been at other music festivals where they are not, but wanted to check before hooking them onto the camper.

  15. Sophie says:

    Hi,
I’m planning on attending Dune Grass and I’d love if my 17 year old sister could come. I am 21 and I was wondering if can I be her guardian for the festival?

    Thank you!

  16. Chase R. says:

How many people usually come to this event?

  17. John says:

    Hey Ryan,
Just curious, we bought our tickets during a free t-shirt promotion, do the t-shirts get mailed or do we get them at the gate? (good marketing opportunity to wear them around this summer before the festival!) thnx

    • Ryan Lake says:

      Hi John,
You should have gotten an email from me last week requesting your address. I’m just waiting to hear back from a few more folks before I send them out.
If you didn’t get an email please let me know at ryanlakemusic@gmail.com

      Best,

    • Ryan Lake says:

      Hi Jeri,
check out the map here on the site for location. Day pass prices are yet to be determined but will probably be about $40 for Saturday, $90 for weekend at the gate. Only $60 for early bird wekend pass…

  24. Sue Sipe says:

I have never been to Dunegrass but am considering coming this year. Is there space for motorhomes or is camping strictly for tents?

  25. Carol Gustman says:

Hey Ryan~ Has taken me forever to get this done!
Dunegrass 09 was just WONDERFUL!!! Brought my son, daughter & granddaughter for their first times!! They will all be back!! As I know I will be there every year as long as there is a Dunegrass & I live!!!
I would be VERY interested in helping/volunteering BEFORE the festival. I have my motorhome and can campout & do most anything before hand. I am also lucky enough to not have to work outside my home. So I have plenty of spare time and would be more than willing to help out at DUNEGRASS 2010!! But I would need advance notice if my help is wanted so I can make arrangements for my animals at home.
Thanks so much for your hard work!! It really showed!!!
I even loved the Saturday morning rain storm!! I was out in it helping hold up the Tees-dyes tent!!!

  26. joe welburn says:

hey just wondering how you did as far as profits i know that not many people showed up this year and it would be a shame to see dunegrass fade out like that even though this year was still amazing

  27. Laureen says:

    Hi,
Just ordered tickets through Paypal and it is “July 31″. I just read somewhere (after I ordered the tickets ), that they would only be available online through “July 30″. Are my tickets going to be valid ? Thanks for your time. :) Laureen

  28. claire says:

What address can I put in my gps to get to dunegrass? I’ve never been!

  31. Empire Eagles FOE says:

Attention Campers…. the Empire Eagles will be serving coffee, tea, juices, fresh fruit, cereals, muffins and some other goodies from 7 am to noon on Saturday and Sunday morning. If you bring your own non disposable cup you will get a discount on your beverages at our booth under the pavilion. See you there!!!!!!

  32. dancing bear says:

i heard that Dark star is secretly coming to dunegrass is that true?

  33. clayton madsen says:

any hints on the stage setup? isee by the schedule that it doesn’t look like the past set ups with the main stage, then a small side stage next to it. i really enjoyed that set up.

also is there gonna be a tent like the dance tent last year? that was another bonus.

  34. WHEN DO WE HAVE TO LEAVE?
    SUNDAY OR MONDAY???

  35. Heather says:

Will the tent camping be “walk in” as it has in the past or can we camp next to our car? We’re hoping to camp near our friends with a VW van. Do we have to arrive at the sametime or can we save them a spot?

  36. WHATS THE SATUS ON HAVING FIRES??

  37. Kimberly says:

The Festival Schedule has been posted at the Dunegrass Festival Myspace; blog

    http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendId=479849554&blogId=499579032

  38. Roxy Hart says:

    A few questions :)

1.) How does leaving and re-entering the camp ground work? I believe that we are going to check out a view wineries Sat early afternoon for an hour or so… just curious about the parking/camping situation.

2.) How many people usually attend this event?

3.) Does anyone know if the early bird special is still being offered (or have 500 tickets already been sold?)

    Peace ~ Love ~ Music

    • RyanLake says:

Once you enter the festival, you will recieve a parking pass. You will then be permitted to come and go as you please. The parking is very close to the main stage. We expect around 2,500 people.

  39. Keith Jaissle says:

When will you be publishing the schedule for the line up?

  40. Klyra says:

Will there be a festival grounds map?

  41. Davey Jones says:

Looking forward to the new festival site.

Are we going to be able to camp by our cars?
